Ms. Suzanne Rushing , 6 9, of Adairsville, Georgia , passed away peacefully Wednes day morning October 1 9 , 2022, surrounded by her loving children.
She was born in Ocala , FL , January 7, 1953, daughter of the late James Edwin Sellers, Jr. and Sadie Jane Pierce Schermerhorn . Ms. Rushing was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmie Sellers . Suzanne loved the Lord and was a devout Christian. She was a graduate of Cresent City High School Class of 1971. After graduating she found her passion in doing portra i t cha l k art. She was a very talented artist. A fi f th generation native of C entral Florida, she loved all the beauty that nature had to offer; natural springs, moss filled trees, and all the wildlife. Suzanne was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed.
Survivors include her loving children, Wendy Louie and husband, Roky, of Seattle, Washington; Diana De La Rosa and husband, David, of Adairsville, Georgia; and Michael Rushing of Jacksonville, Alabama; grandchildren, Roxy, Dominic, Matilda, and Gideon De La Rosa; father of her children, Mike Rushing, stepsister, Donna Schermerhorn Byrd; special cousin, MaryAnn Tilley and several other cousins and dear friends.
Honoring Suzanne's wishes she will be cre ma ted.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Ms. Suzanne Rushing.
