Obituary
Mr. Telmon Jennings Edwards, 69, of Edwards Road, Adairsville passed away Saturday (October 19, 2013) at his sister's residence.
Mr. Edwards was born in Rome, Georgia, March 8, 1944, son of the late Guy Milton Edwards and Katie Tate Edwards. He was a member of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge. Mr. Edwards loved being outside, especially hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Edwards.
He is survived by 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha Hardin of Cartersville, Carolyn and Jarvis Smith of Cumming, and Barbara and Frank Brackin of Roseville, CA; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrow and Audrey Edwards of Rome and Russell and Faye Edwards of Gaylesville, AL; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 21, 2013, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating. Interment will follow in West Union Cemetery, Calhoun with military honors.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
