Mrs. Tennie Evelyn Towe, age 87, of Adairsville passed away peacefully Monday, June 8, 2020, at her residence.

She was born in Calhoun, Georgia, September 18, 1932, daughter of the late Charlie Hazelwood and Mattie Inez Smith Hazelwood. Mrs. Towe was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. She had a heart of gold and everyone who met her loved her. Mrs. Towe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Washington Towe, Jr; sisters, Debra Dabbs, Marie Millsap, Mable Quarles, and Syble Chamlee; brother, C.D. Hazelwood and nephew, Scotty Mathis.

Survivors include her sons, Ronnie Towe and Rickey Towe; sisters, Edna Jeroane Mathis and Helen H. Jones; her sweet dog Mary and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Morrow officiating.

Following social distancing guidelines the family will receive family and friends Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Barton Funeral Home.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Tennie Evelyn Towe.
