Obituary

Mrs. Tennie Marlene Williams, 80, of Adairsville passed away Sunday evening, July 26, 2020, at her residence.

She was born in Gatewood, Missouri, June 20, 1940, daughter of the late William Lewis Ruminer and Lillie Rose Sisk. She was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church. Loving, kind, selfless, and giving would be a few words to best describe Marlene. She never spoke unkind of anyone and never met a stranger. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Darrell Autry; great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Kown; sister-in-law, MinLou Autry and several brothers and sisters.;

Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Herbert Williams; children, David Autry, Kay (Russell) Kown, C. L. Autry, Angela (Albert) Hilburn, Susann Thomas, and Stanton (Sarah) Williams; grandchildren, Brandon Autry, Ryan Autry, Tabitha (Jeff) Standley, Angie (Tim) Shaw, Crystal (David) Roden, Kara Kown, Michael Gayton, Dustin Autry, Hunter (Leslie) Hilburn, Stetson (Lyric) Hilburn, Amanda (Casey) Ingram, Tyler Thomas, Joseph Rickett, Sam Rickett, Wyatt York, Cheyenne Williams and Colby Williams; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Marvene Simpson and Christine Batley; several nieces and nephews.

Following Covid19 guidelines with social distancing funeral services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Victory Temple Church of God, Calhoun with Rev. Jeff Dutton and Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Victory Temple Church of God, Calhoun. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery, Calhoun.

Pallbearers will Brandon Autry, Ryan Autry, Dustin Autry, Hunter Hilburn, Stetson Hilburn, Amanda Ingram, Tyler Thomas, and Dillan Fraser.Honorary pallbearers will be Shane West, Dowis Satterfield, Jamie Haygood, Larry Pratt, and David Green.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Kent Van Arsdell and nurse Robin Harkins.
