Mr. Terry Shelton De F oor , age 7 2 , of Adairsville, went to his H eavenly home, Monday morning, August 29, 2022 .

Mr. De F oor was born in Calhoun , GA, February 16, 1950 , son of the late Billie Shelton DeFoor and Wilma Geneva Holden DeFoor . Terry was a faithful member and active deacon of Stoner Chapel Baptist Church. His greatest accomplishment was his family and he loved them dearly. He was a proud Industrial Engineer from Southern Tech. Terry enjoyed working with his hand s, from being a talented woodworker to growing the most beautiful garden on highway 41 . He will be missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 48 years, Arlice Parker De F oor; daughters, Summer ( Josh ) Erickson and Stephanie ( Zachary ) Hazelwood ; son, John Shelton DeFoor ; grandchildren, Hayden Erickson, Anna Hazelwood, and Nolan Hazelwood; sister, Donna ( Wayne ) Christol; brother, Joey DeFoor; aunt, Jean Holden; special sister-in-law, Nancy Budzius and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednes day, August 31, 2022 , at 2:00PM from Stoner Chapel Baptist Church with Reverends Stephen Moore, Randy Jackson, and Billy Christol officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will include Gabriel DeFoor, Garrett DeFoor, Orry DeFoor, Zachary Budzius, Cameron Budzius, Spencer Budzius, and Sean Pat McDermott. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Gay, Billy Stark s , and the deacons of Stoner Chapel Baptist Church: DeWitt Everett, Dillard Abernathy, Jimmy Watkins, Jerry Jones, and Steve Abernathy.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 :00PM until 8 :00PM at Stoner Chapel Baptist Church, 26 Stoners Chapel Road, NW Adairsville, GA 30103.
