Mr. Terry Lee Harbin, age 66, of West Oak Grove Road, Adairsville, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Hamburg, Iowa, November 24, 1947, son of the late Tenn Odell Harbin, Sr. and Marie Cox Harbin. Mr. Harbin served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and retired from Calhoun Water Department. He had a fun sense of humor and enjoyed being a prankster. Mr. Harbin relished being in the company of his family, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed dropping a coin or two in the slot machines every now and then. Mr. Harbin was preceded in death by parents; siblings, Elmer Richard Harbin, Tenn Odell Harbin, Jr., and Peggy Harbin; brother-in-law, Jack Jackson.
Survivors include his wife of forty-two years, Linda Wylene Harbin of Adairsville; children, David Allen Stephens, Sr. and his wife, Tammy of Adairsville; Sharen Wylene McCarthy and husband, Daniel of Calhoun; and Tenn Odell Harbin and his wife, Mandee of Adairsville; grandchildren, Andrew Harper, Garrett McCarthy, Alesha Stephens, David Allen Stephens, Jr., Nicole Widener, Katie Stephens, Britney Woody, Nikki Hardy, Isabella Harbin, and Ashtyn Harbin; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Joy Jackson of Tarkio, Mo and Robin and Tony Henning or Tarkio, MO; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014, at 12:00 PM at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Ken Coomer officiating.
