Mr. Thomas Wayne Woodring, age 75, of Wesley Road, Adairsville, GA, went home to be with his Lord Sunday, July 28, 2013.

He was born in Adairsville, GA, on July 22, 1938, son of James Henry Woodring and Alma Culberson Woodring. Mr. Woodring was a member of NorthPointe Church and retired from Shaw industries after 22 years. He enjoyed going fishing and spending time with all of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Woodring; 3 brothers, Charles "Pic" Woodring, Wallace Woodring, and Raymond Woodring.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty Woodring of Adairsville; 3 daughters and son-in-law, Tina Woodring of Adairsville, Pam and Sam Samples of Kingston and Vicki King of Adairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Diane Woodring of Columbus, OH; 7 grandchildren, Blake Mincey, Jason Woodring, Matthew Woodring, Luke Woodring, Brooke King, Brandon Vines, and Brandi Moorehead; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathryn Crawford of Adairsville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 2:00 PM at NorthPointe Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Jim Pinkard and Rev. Stephen Cochran, and Fred Painter officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville.

Pallbearers will be Blake Mincey, Matthew Woodring, Luke Woodring, Brandon Vines, Sam Samples, and Eric Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be the NorthPointe Wednesday night small group, "Fred's Flock".

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 30, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
