Obituary
Mr. Tom Fowler, 82, of Kingston passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Fowler was born in Adairsville, March 13, 1935, son of the late Floyd Lester Fowler and Josephine Cagle Fowler. He was a devout Christian and member of Apostolic Tabernacle in Adairsville. Mr. Fowler loved his family; they were the light of his life. He most loved being a Pawpaw and looked forward to being a great Pawpaw soon. He enjoyed being outside, cutting firewood, and working in his vegetable garden. A kindhearted man, Tom never met a stranger. Mr. Fowler was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Virginia Benefield and Lenamae Miller; and brother, Buck Fowler.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Climmie Fowler of Kingston; daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Donald Stephens of Adairsville and Rebekah and Glyn Davis of Adairsville; grandchildren, Johnathon and Sarah Stephens, Amelia Davis and Carrigan Davis; expecting first great-grandchild; sisters, Betty and Jerry Miller, Jeanette Davenport, Shirley Flowers, and Lynn Kurtz; brother, Jack Fowler; several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Pastor Lee Garland and Reverend Glyn Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers include Fred Cronon, Ronald White, Eddie Baldwin, Jody Temple, Michael Davenport, and Eddie Davenport.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
