Mr. Travis Lamar Lancaster, age 85, of Adairsville passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at his home.

Travis was born in Calhoun, GA, June 15, 1938, son of the late Henry Lancaster and Ruby Craig Lancaster. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Danielly. Travis was a member of the First Christian Church Adairsville. He retired from the Clorox Company after 35 years of service, was a veteran of the United States Army, and member of the Adairsville American Legion. Travis loved his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren. He was witty and had a great sense of humor, loved being outdoors, fishing, and gardening,

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gail Lancaster; children, Wade Lancaster (Amy), Neal Lancaster (Michelle), Nick Lancaster (Sandra), Paula Hooper (Paul), David Grice, and Joey Grice (Amanda); grandchildren, Cody, Chance, Cassie, Carson, Bentley, Breeann, Peyton, Richard, Angel, Haley, Channey, Brody, Christina, Leslie, Mitchell, McClellan, Summer, Tyra, Abigail, Briggs, Zoey, Sharabella; several great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Eloise Freeman, Hazel Danielly, Faye Hammonds, Jackie Ranson, Syble Morris, Sandra Haygood, Barbara Biggs, and Robert Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Steve Morrow officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be McClellan Grice, Adam Cruse, Brian Cowart, Cody Lancaster, Chance Lancaster, and Jason Chapman.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
