Mr. Troy Leon Boswell, 85, of Adairsville passed Sunday, December 27, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Boswell was born in Adairsville, Georgia, May 9, 1935, son of the late R. K. Boswell and Annie Emma Freeman Boswell. He was a dedicated member of Snow Springs Baptist Church where he served on many committees and loved his church family. Troy retired from Lockheed Martin after 42 years of service and was a gifted woodworker. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Justin Nathaniel Russell; brothers, Alvin Boswell (wife Betty Jean) and Elbert Boswell (wife Lita); sisters, Mary Lee Seabolt (husband Lawrence), Martha West (husband Jerome), Ruby Waldon (husband John), Effie Mae (husband John William (J.W.) Culberson), and Lois Bradley (husband Gordon).

He is survived by his children, Teresa Russell (husband Tuffy), Denise Duran (husband J. J.), and Greg Boswell (wife Missy); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Boswell; sisters, Mildred Colston (husband Jerry Colston) and Mattie Bell Whittemore (husband Mark) and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Snow Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Doug Mattox officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Snow Springs Baptist Church. Pallbearers will include Erik Russell, Bryan Popka, Marcus Gregory, Jack Duran, Nate Russell, and Wayne Welchel; Jimmy King, Zach Crowe, and his nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Family and friends attending services will be required to wear face mask and observe social distancing.
