Obituary

Mr. Troy Lamar Wilson, 66, of Adams Way, Adairsville, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in Baton Rouge, LA.

Mr. Wilson was born in Calhoun, Georgia, August 23, 1946, son of the late Norman Troy Wilson and Marie Gibbs Cooper. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Wilson was a member of New Life Ministries and enjoyed watching car shows and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Roberta Cooper.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Audrey Morrow Wilson of Adairsville; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Bruce Parker of Adairsville and Christy and Marty Simpson of Adairsville; 5 grandchildren, Adam West, Andrew Buttram, Ashley Parker, Lucas Simpson, and Gavin Parker; 11 brothers and sisters, Brenda Byrd, Lanny Wilson, Danny Wilson, Kenny Wilson, Larry Wilson, Judy Haney, Randall Cooper, Greg Cooper, Jeff Cooper, Troy Wilson, and Patricia Whitfield; a special niece and nephews, Sara Rickett, Russ Morrow, Ryan Morrow, and Billy Morrow.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 3:00 PM at the Adairsville Church of God, Adairsville with Rev. Steve Morrow and Rev. Kyle Morrow officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, January 19, 2013, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

Pallbearers include Jeff Gulledge, Jerry Gulledge, Chris Gulledge, Jason Buttram, Ray West, Anthony Jackson, Glenn Wilson, and Larry Wilson, Jr.
