Mr. Vaughn Lee Craig, age 60, of Adairsville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 22, 2026, with his loved ones at his side. He was born in Rome, Georgia March 14,1966.

Survivors include his son, Brandon Craig and wife Rachel; grandchildren, Dawson, Annslee, and Isaiah Craig; mother, Carolyn Craig; father, Jack Craig and wife Betty; brothers, Ricky Craig, and Rodney Craig and wife Tammy; sister, Amanda Weatherford and husband Phillip; stepsisters, Saundra Barnett and husband Doug, and Melissa Tope and husband Ken; sister-in-law, Tammy Craig; nieces, Heather Craig and Lily Corbin; nephews, Austin Craig, Chad Craig, and Hayden Bray; several cousins and dear friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Timothy Craig, “Timmy”.

Vaughn was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother whose larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. A gifted craftsman, Vaughn had a remarkable talent for woodworking. With little more than a piece of scrap wood, driftwood, or any piece of lumber he could find, he could create something beautiful. Whether carving handcrafted walking canes or building treasured keepsakes, his creativity knew no bounds. Among his most cherished creations was a beautiful wooden clock he lovingly made for his mother, a gift that reflected both his skill and his heart.

Vaughn was a true character with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved making people laugh and was always cutting up with family and friends. If anyone asked what he was doing, he would simply grin and say he was "just piddling"—content spending his days tinkering, creating, and enjoying life's simple pleasures. Above all, Vaughn loved his family, and the memories he created with them will be treasured for generations to come.

A celebration of Vaughn’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Aairsville with Rev. Eric Elrod officiating.
