Mrs. Velma Dee Jackson, age 95, of Cartersville, GA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at her residence.

She was born in Atlanta, GA, on September 10, 1930, to the late Ida Lou Wesson Davis and John Lee Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Pat Jackson; sons, Chuck Jackson, Guy Jackson, Peter Jackson and Mike Jackson; 5 brother and 1 sister.

Survivors include her daughter, Patti Jackson Camp; son, Timothy Jackson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews

Dee was a faithful Christian woman and member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church. She found great joy in listening to gospel music and spending time outdoors, whether sitting on her patio or soaking up the sunshine. Dee enjoyed watching her favorite daytime television shows, shopping, and was always packed and ready for the next adventure, no matter where family or friends wanted to take her. In her younger years, she loved line dancing and was known for her active and energetic spirit. Above all, Dee was immensely proud of her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Her love, faith, and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. David Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Oothcalooga Baptist Church Cemetery, Adairsville. Family will serve as pallbearers.

Private family viewing will be Thursday from 12:30PM until 1:30PM at the funeral home.
