Mrs. Virginia Bradley Thacker, known as Ginger, age 82, of Adairsville, Georgia, passed away peacefully December 27, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by the ones she loved. Ginger was born in Adairsville, September 25, 1942, daughter of the late Jim Crawford Bradley and Hazel Thurston Bradley. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry W. Thacker.

Survivors include her loving children, Jodie Thacker Abernathy and husband Jeff and Wes Thacker and wife Jacki; grandchildren, Rachel Ginger Abernathy, Rebecca Abernathy Norris and husband Jeffrey, Joessie Thacker Gladney and husband Mason, and Wesley Thacker and wife Desiree; great-grandchildren, Jace and Maci Jo; brother, Howard Thurston Bradley and several nieces, nephews, and numerous dear friends also survive.

Ginger loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a true friend to all and known for her giving and caring nature. She loved her family deeply. She was a devoted member of the New Beginnings Cartersville Church where she was known for her strong Christian faith and commitment to spreading the Gospel. She was active in all phases of church ministry, a mighty prayer warrior and Bible teacher. Her other ministries included a prison and jail ministry where she taught Bible studies, Joy Writers Ministry, and Sunday School teacher. She represented her church in visiting nursing homes throughout the community. Ginger, a beacon of unwavering friendship and kindness, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.

Ginger worked for the Georgia State Highway Department before serving as a Clerk at the Adairsville Post Office and later as Postmaster in Rydal.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM from NorthPointe Church, Adairsville with Reverends Barry Garland and Jim Pinkard, and Mr. Wesley Thacker officiating. Musical selections will be provided by Reverend K. Ray Looney. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery, Cartersville, GA 30120. Pallbearers include Evan King, Jimmy Fletcher, Franklin Morris, Joel Garland, Kyle Abernathy and Tim Daniels. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Drew, Larry Graves and Freddie Fletcher.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at NorthPointe Church, Adairsville. The family is accepting flowers or donations can be made in Ginger's memory to New Beginnings Church Cartersville, P.O. Box 4030, Cartersville 30120.
