Obituary

Mr. Wallace Clontz Lockridge, 80 , of Adairsville, passed away Fri day, September 3, 2021 at Redmond Regional Hospital .

Mr. Lockridge was born in Kingston, Georgia, December 3, 1940 , son of the late Leonard Otis Lockridge and Mary Eliza Kerr Lockridge. Mr. Lockridge was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of United States Army, served during the Vietnam War, and spent two years stationed in Germany . He was retired from the Department of Transportation and at one time raised cattle. He enjoyed gardening, was a talented wood worker , and an avid Atlanta Braves Fan. Wallace will be remembered as a great person and someone who was always willing to help others in time of need. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister s , Marilyn Coplin and Lorene Potts; brother, Charles L. Lockridge and James "Jimmy" Lockridge.

Survivors include his sister, Lynelle Ellis and; brother-in-law, Leonard Coplin and Ronald Potts; sister-in-law, Myra Rissmiller and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held Mon day, September 6, 2021, at 2 :00 PM at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cem e tery with Nixon Sellars officiating . Pallbearers include his great nephews Kristopher Ellis, Nick Coplin, Andrew Coplin, John David Potts, Joseph Potts, and Josh Lockridge. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Taylor.

The family will receive friends Mon day from 12 :00 Noon until 1 : 45 PM at Barton Funeral Home.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, is in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Wallace C. Lockridge .
