Mrs. Wanda Elaine Adcock Cape , age 64 , of Adairsville, passed away peacefully Wednes day, October 6, 2021 at Emory University Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Fairmount , GA, November 7, 1956 , daughter of late Walter Max Adcock and Helen Dean Earwood Adcock. Wanda was a christian of the Baptist faith. On her 18 ^th birthday she married the l ove of her life, Gene. Together they had two children, five grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter that brought her so much joy. She loved going to Panama City Beach. Wanda and Gene took a trip twice a year with their "Beach Family" to spend a week enjoying their favorite place. They made lots of memories that the family will cherish forever. She also enjoyed flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Max Adcock and Helen Dean Earwood Adcock; grandson, Kristopher Kyle Cape; brother s ; Vernon Adcock, Randy Adcock, and Claude Adcock ; and sister, Cathy Epps.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 47 years , Ge ne Cape ; son, Chuck and Selena Cape; daughter, Wendy and Charlie Edwards; grandchildren, Kyle and Brianna Cape, Trey Cape, Dustin Edwards, and Ashley Edwards; great granddaughter, Remi Cape; brothers , Earl and Betty Adcock and Ricky and Ann Adcock; sisters, Sherrie and Phillip Pruitt and Deborah Akins ; special "sister" friend, Carol Towe; special friends, Cozzetta Jordan and Betty Melvin; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Satur day, October 9, 20 21 , at 3 : 0 0 PM from the c hapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Reverend John Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery , Adairsville. Pallbearers include Kyle Cape, Trey Cape, Dustin Edwards, Eric Adcock, Shane Epps, Jamie Epps, Ryan Forbes, Rion Forbes, Kevin Hammonds, and Phillip Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be her Beach Family.

The family will receive friends Satur day from 12 :00 PM until 3 :00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
