Mr. William Oscar "Bill" Blalock, age 70, of Rome, GA, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Kindred Healthcare, Rome.

He was born in the Plainview community, Adairsville, June 13, 1947 son of the late Robert Tollie Blalock and Vada Lou Pickard Blalock. Plainview Baptist Church had been his home church and he had been a student of the Rome Floyd Training Center for thirty-five years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gladys Pearl Blalock.

Survivors include a brother, Robert Marvin Blalock and his wife, Joyce Blalock, of Adairsville; and a sister, Sue Hibberts and her husband, Rev. Gary Hibberts, of Calhoun; several nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Darryl, Joy and Nathan Creel.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM, from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with the Rev. Gary Hibberts and Rev. Winford Casey officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Dawayne Hibberts, Shane Hibberts, Robert Davis, Dale Hogan, Bobby Carney, and Dale Pickard.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
