Mr. William (Billy) Carl Smith, Sr., age 92, went to be with his Heavenly Father, on November 26, 2024, at his son's residence.

Billy was born on April 18, 1932, son of the late Jerry Carl Smith and Lula Pearl Camp Smith. Mr. Smith was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Pearl Harris Smith, son, Gregory Royce Smith, grandson, Thomas William Smith, and sister, Dorothy Jeanette Adcock. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving on the USS EPPING FOREST during the Korean War. He also served in Hawaii and Midway. Billy was a member of Snow Springs Baptist Church and retired from the Glad Corporation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Survivors include his son, William Smith, Jr. and his wife Jan; grandsons, Travis Smith, Taylor and Ashley Smith, and Timothy and Brandi Smith; great-grandchildren, Emma, Ellie, Everly, Will, Emersyn, and Wyatt; sister, Evelyn Touchstone and her husband Chuck and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 3:00PM at Snow Springs Baptist Church with Reverends Jason Parker and Roger Whorton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Travis Smith, Taylor Smith, Timothy Smith, Gary Dutton, Brad Harris, James King, Byron Jones, and Dabney Carver.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at Snow Springs Baptist Church.

In lieu of flower the family ask donations to be made in memory of Billy to the Snow Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or the North Bartow Community Center.
