Obituary
Mr. William Franklin Deane, Sr., 78, of Hayesville, passed away Thursday morning, August 24, 2017.
He was born in Clearwater, FL, July 31, 1939, son of the late Tenney Ingalls Deane, Sr. and Millicent Sirmons Deane. Mr. Deane was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Blairsville, GA. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a private pilot. He loved being with his family, enjoyed flying, sailing, and traveling in their motor home. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tenney Deane, Jr.; stepson, Brian Leland.
Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-three years, Carol Deane; daughter, Kathryn Deane Chambless of Dunwoody, GA; son, Will (Betsy) Deane of Long Creek, SC; stepdaughter, Stephanie (Sam) Napper of Adairsville, GA; grandchildren, Abby Chambless, Zachary Chambless, Carter Napper, and Caleb Napper; sister, Nancy (Harry) Dumville of Brevard, NC; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday, August 28, 2017 at 1:30 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton with Dr. Jon Jacobs officiating. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Grace Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, GA.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Bill's memory to Grace Presbyterian Church, PO Box 105, Blairsville, GA 30514
