Mrs. Willie Mae Herod, age 91, of Rome, passed away February 25, 2019.

She was born in Rome, Georgia, June 4, 1927. daughter of the late Robert S. Barrett and Leon Burnett Barrett. Mrs. Herod was of the Baptist Faith. A loving and giving woman, if you didn't have the chance to meet her you truly missed out. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Tilmon Herod.

Survivors include her son, Tilmon Herod and his wife Judy and family; daughter, Anna Taylor and her husband Jimmy; grandson, Josh Taylor and his wife Danielle, and great granddaughters, Alyssa and Ryleigh Taylor.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
