Mrs. Willie Mae Millsap Tatum, age 79, 147 Youngs Mill Road, Kingston, died Tuesday (February 15, 2011) at Cartersville Medical Center.
Mrs. Tatum was born in Adairsville, October 7, 1931, daughter of the late John and Clydie Cadilia Millsap and was of the Holiness faith. An outgoing, "people person", Mrs. Tatum enjoyed flower gardening, shopping, and going for a leisurely ride in the car. Mrs. Tatum was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Tatum and a brother, John Millsap.
Survivors include 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Dottie and Wayne Wilson of Rome, Anita Hughes of Kingston, and Rita and Van Duvall of Kingston; 7 grandchildren, Tim Wilson, Jeff Wilson, Gary Holmes, Christy Lowery, Adam Dobson, Jason Duvall, and Jeremy Duvall; 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mildred Millsap of Kingston.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 2:30 PM from the chapel at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. C.E Wilkey and Rev. Jackie Culberson officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Garden, Rome.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Duvall, Jason Duvall, Jeff Wilson, Gary Holmes, Adam Dobson, Justin Duvall, Cole Clark, Paul Clark and James Lowery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
