Obituary
Mrs. Yvonne Bunch King, age 78, of Adairsville, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at Cartersville Medical Center.
She was born in Bartow County, November 8, 1939, daughter of the late Paul Herman Bunch and Willie Mae Stone Bunch. Mrs. King was a member of Adairsville Baptist Church, Adairsville Lion's Club, former president of both the Adairsville PTA and the Homemakers Club, a Girl Scout Leader, and Adairsville High School class of 1958 Valedictorian. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, canning and cooking and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Billy King; infant daughter, Shelia Mae King; and brother, Raymond Bunch.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kent C. King and Karen of Calhoun; daughter and son-in-law, Cara Beth Goforth and Michael of Adairsville; grandchildren, Joshua and Candace Byers of Adairsville and Jacob and Cherree Byers of Adairsville; 2 great-granddaughters, Cara Ann Byers and Courtney Mae Byers of Adairsville; step-grandchildren, Jade Garland and Blake Garland of Calhoun; brother, J. Timothy Bunch and Janie of Calhoun; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 29, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Adairsville Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Jim Pinkard and Rev. Eric Sorrell officiating. Entombment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville.
Pallbearers include Blake Garland, Evan King, Jimmy King, Thorton Adams, Phillip Smith, and Bobby Hazelwood, while honorary pallbearers will be Ottis Adams, Earl Culberson and Billy Harris.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Adairsville Baptist Church.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Yvonne Bunch King.
